Sophie Turner has found an unlikely friend in Taylor Swift, as the pop star has reportedly loaned the actress a New York apartment, as Sophie navigates her ongoing divorce and custody battle with Joe Jonas, who’s also the ex-boyfriend of Taylor.

Sophia was photographed leaving Taylor’s Tribeca townhouse on Wednesday morning (notably wearing her wedding ring). According to Page Six, sources reveal that Taylor offered to have Sophie stay at the luxe location, which she normally keeps as an investment property. Sophie has since been spotted in the neighbourhood as she appears to be settling in.

Sophie previously made headlines when she was seen hanging out with Taylor in New York, just as news broke that she’s suing Joe for allegedly withholding their daughters’ passports following his decision to file for divorce earlier this month.

The Game of Thrones star’s case alleges that she only learned about Joe’s decision to separate via media reports, and that they’d been talking about relocating to London before. Now, she wants to take their two daughters to the UK, but says she’s unable to do so with Jonas keeping the passports in his care.

Joe released a statement via his representative denying Sophie’s claims.

“After multiple conversations with Sophie, Joe initiated divorce proceedings in Florida, as Florida is the appropriate jurisdiction for the case. Sophie was aware that Joe was going to file for divorce,” his rep explained.

"Sophie advised that she wanted to take the children permanently to the UK,” they continued. “Thereafter, she demanded via this filing that Joe hand over the children’s passports so that she could take them out of the country immediately. If he complies, Joe will be in violation of the Florida Court order."

There former couple reportedly signed a prenup prior to their 2019 wedding, but Joe may end up making a generous divorce payment to Sophie considering his much higher net worth.

Joe Jonas’s net worth is reportedly $50 million, while Sophie’s net worth is apparently $12 million.

The couple's prenuptial agreement guarantees Joe retains sole ownership of royalties generated from his music collaborations with his brothers as part of the Jonas Brothers band, as well as any earnings accrued from his involvement with his own band, DNCE.

Likewise, the prenup secures Sophie's rights to her residuals from projects she has contributed to, notably her well-known role as Sansa Stark in HBO's Game of Thrones. Any residences acquired prior to their marriage will remain the exclusive property of their original owners.
